Muzaffarnagar, July 11 -- Uttar Pradesh Police has ramped up security measures ahead of the Kanwar Yatra, with a focus on preventing incidents of theft at Kanwar camps.

In a video statement, Muzaffarnagar City SP Satyanarayan Prajapat stated that olice will be deployed in all Kanwar camps in the district to avoid the incidents of theft. He added that CCTVs cameras have also been installed in the camps.

The Kanwar Yatra has started from Friday as it marks the first day of the holy month of 'Sawan'.
