New York, Aug. 23 -- The United Nations Security Council has added five individuals from Libya, Tunisia, Kuwait, and Tajikistan to its international sanctions list for their involvement in financing, recruiting, and supporting ISIS and al-Qaeda operations, Khaama Press reported.

According to Khaama Press, citing a statement by the council issued on Friday, the UN sanctions committee announced that these individuals face asset freezes, international travel bans, and arms embargoes as part of global counterterrorism measures.
