New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai will administer the oath of office to the two newly appointed judges of the Supreme Court, Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, on Friday.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at 10:30 AM on Friday at the Supreme Court's premises.
Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on August 25, recommended the elevation of the two Chief Justices of the High Courts as judges in the Supreme Court.
Justice Aradhe was the Chief Justice of the High Court of Bombay, and Justice Pancholi was the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
With the appointment of the two judges, the apex court would function with the full strength of 34 judges from Friday.
