New Delhi, July 17 -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker on Thursday reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2025, with the company profit surging 61 per cent as accelerating demand for advanced semiconductor technologies, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) continued to drive performance.

Commenting on the results, Wendell Huang, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TSMC, said, "Our business in the second quarter was supported by continued robust AI and HPC-related demand.
