Rudraprayag, Nov. 6 -- The portals of Tritiya Kedar Shri Tungnath Temple were ceremoniously closed today (Thursday) at 11:30 AM for the winter season. After the closure, the 'Chal Vigrah' (idol for the winter sojourn) of Lord Tungnath proceeded towards its first halt at Chopta. On this occasion, the temple was beautifully adorned with flowers, and more than five hundred devotees witnessed the sacred closing ceremony, the Temple Committee said.

Earlier in the morning, the temple was opened for devotees to offer prayers and have darshan. Daily rituals and worship were performed as usual, after which the devotees paid homage.
