New Delhi, June 30 -- : Union Minister Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday said that to cushion the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the "underprivileged and the poor", Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
"To cushion the impact of the #coronavirus pandemic on the country's underprivileged and the poor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the extension of the PM #GareebKalyanAnnaYojana till November end, aiding around 80 crore people to avail free grains," Gowda tweeted.
The Prime Minister on Tuesday announced that his government will extend till end of November, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, under which foodgrains are being provided to the poor and needy.
