Jammu, Jan. 23 -- One terrorist was killed in an encounter in the Billawar area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Friday.

According to officials, the operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs.

The Rising Star Corps of the Indian Army, in a statement, said that a joint operation was initiated by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on January 23 in the general area of Parhetar in Kathua district.
