Khammam, Sept. 24 -- The Telangana Government on Wednesday launched a Rs 525.36 crore project to construct a retaining wall along both sides of the Munneru river in Khammam city to provide a permanent solution to recurring flood problems, a press release from the Department of Information and Public Relations said.

The initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to safeguard lives, property, farmlands, and public infrastructure from monsoon-induced flooding.
