Taipei, Oct. 29 -- Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND) reported an increase in Chinese military activity around its territory on Wednesday, with 25 PLA aircraft sorties and 5 PLAN vessels operating till 6 am (local time) today.

In a post on X, the MND stated that 23 of the 25 sorties crossed the median line and entered the country's northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zones (ADIZs).

"25 sorties of PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 23 out of 25 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and southwestern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded," it stated.
