Taipei, Nov. 26 -- Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence detected 20 Chinese military sorties and five naval vessels in its territorial waters as of 6 am (local time) on Wednesday.

In a post on X, the MND stated that 14 out of 20 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern Air Defence Identification Zones (ADIZs).

"20 sorties of PLA aircraft and 5 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 14 out of 20 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded," the MND stated.

Earlier on Tuesday, the MND detected 11 Chinese military sorties and five naval vessels in its territorial waters as of 6 am (local time).
