Taipei, Oct. 26 -- Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND) detected 8 sorties by PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels around its territory on Sunday.

The MND further shared that 5 out of 8 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ).

It wrote on X, "8 sorties of PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 5 out of 8 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and southwestern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded."

The MND recorded the presence of 4 PLAN vessels and 9 sorties of PLA aircraft around its territory on Saturday.
