Taipei, Jan. 12 -- Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence said on Monday that it recorded the presence of 5 PLAN vessels and 1 official ship operating around its territory.

The Ministry of National Defence also added that 4 PRC balloons were detected during the timeframe.

In a post on X, the MND wrote, "5 PLAN vessels and 1 official ship operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 4 PRC balloons were detected during this timeframe. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded."
