Taipei, June 24 -- Taiwan's Minister of National Defence (MND) detected 12 sorties of PLA aircraft and seven PLAN vessels around its territory on Tuesday.

According to Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND), the aircraft vessels were detected until 6 AM (local time).

It was reported that 10 out of 12 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's southwestern and southeastern air defence identification zone (ADIZ).

"12 sorties of PLA aircraft and 7 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 10 out of 12 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern, southwestern and southeastern ADIZ. We have monitored the situation and responded," the MND stated.
