Mumbai, Feb. 1 -- The proposed hike in TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) on rentals up to Rs 6 lakh, as promised in the Union Budget 2025, aims to bolster rental investments, said Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) and the Hiranandani Group.

In a conversation with ANI, the NAREDCO chairman on Saturday stated that the Union budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament today, has been hailed as a transformative step for India's real estate and infrastructure sectors.
