Prayagraj, Jan. 29 -- Jagadguru Shankaracharaya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj, has appealed to the devotees to take holy dip anywhere in the Kumbh Kshetra and there is "no specific place" for it.

"I appeal to the devotees to remain patient and take a holy dip anywhere in the Kumbh Kshetra. There is no specific place where the devotees should gather to take a dip," he told ANI.

A stampede-like situation occurred at Maha Kumbh in the early hours of Wednesday, resulting in several injuries. The incident occurred as millions of devotees gathered at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers to take a holy dip on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya, which also marks the day of the Second Shahi Snan.
