Bengaluru, Dec. 1 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday criticised the Centre over the latest FIR in the National Herald case, calling it an example of "vendetta politics".

In a statement, he said the move showed the "weaponisation" of institutions against Opposition leaders and argued that such actions weakened democratic values.

"The latest FIR in the National Herald case reflects the continued pattern of BJP's vendetta politcs. When institutions are repeatedly weaponised to target voices of the Opposition, it weakens the very foundations of our democracy. This pattern of intimidation by the BJP reflects fear, not strength.
