Patna, Feb. 18 -- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Wednesday called for treason charges to be filed against Galgotias University after the institution drew controversy for showcasing a reportedly Chinese-made RoboDog at the AI Impact Summit and allegedly presenting it as its own innovation.

In a post on X, the RJD alleged that the university misrepresented a robot, claiming it was developed in-house even though it is a Chinese product worth around Rs 2 lakh, and further inflated its value to Rs 350 crore. The party also stated that university representatives gave an interview to a government news channel regarding the matter.
