Baran, Nov. 11 -- Voting for the Anta Assembly by-election in Rajasthan is underway on Tuesday, but residents of Sakli village in Baran district have boycotted the polling process.

Meanwhile, all 736 registered voters in the village chose not to vote, sticking to their earlier announcement to boycott the election.

The villagers said they were protesting against the lack of basic infrastructure, particularly the absence of a proper road and a crematorium.

Speaking to ANI, a resident, Sonu, said, "The condition of roads in our village is very bad. There is no proper way to go anywhere."
