Ahmedabad, Oct. 14 -- Qatar Airways confirmed that the flight QR816 from Doha to Hong Kong was diverted to Ahmedabad on October 14 due to a technical issue, the Airlines confirmed to ANI.

The diversion was a standard precautionary measure and the aircraft landed safely.

"Passengers and crew will be provided with necessary assistance. The safety and security of our passengers and crew are our highest priority," the statement added.

Qatar Airways Flight QR816, en-route from Doha to Hong Kong, made a precautionary emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport on Tuesday after a technical issue was reported on the aircraft.

The flight landed at the airport at around 2.32 pm, and all passengers are safe and unharmed.
