Chandigarh, Jan. 4 -- Two persons have been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Punjab Police in connection with the 328 missing Saroops case, officials said.

The SIT conducted searches at 14 locations and seized mobile devices, tablets, computers, storage devices, and incriminating financial records and documents.

A spokesperson for the SIT stated here on Saturday that a total of 16 persons have been named in the FIR registered at the Police Station C-Division, Commissionerate, Amritsar.

"Two accused persons have allegedly died, and 14 persons are under investigation. Satinder Singh Kohli and Kanwaljit Singh alias Kawaljit Singh have been arrested in this case so far," the spokesperson said.
