Tel Aviv, June 30 -- Israeli citizens were arrested earlier this month on suspicion of working on behalf of Iranian intelligence to carry out missions intended to harm Israeli civilians and national security, it was cleared for publication on Monday.

The suspects were arrested in two separate operations by the Israel Police under the direction of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).

In one case, 33-year-old Mark Morgaine, a resident of the Jordan Valley, was arrested for maintaining contact with Iranian intelligence and carrying out direct assignments for them.
