Shigar, April 28 -- The residents of Shigar District in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan have opposed the proposed legislation regarding the exploitation of mineral resources, as well as Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's plans to use the region's natural resources to settle the country's debt.

As per Pamir Times reports, a protest rally was held under the "Protection of Mountains, Pastures, Minerals, and Lands" movement, beginning from Hussaini Chowk in Shigar.
