New Delhi, Jan. 7 -- Hailing the commissioning of Indian Coast Guard Ship Sumudra Pratap, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday termed it as a step of strength towards India's vision of self-reliance and a boost to the nation's self-security apparatus, reflecting commitment to sustainability.

The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Samudra Pratap, the first of two Pollution Control Vessels (PCVs) built by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), was commissioned on January 5 by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
