New Delhi, Nov. 17 -- Noting that India's traditional education system instilled pride in its culture and placed equal emphasis on both learning and skill development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that India's education, economy, and societal aspirations became increasingly aligned with foreign models under the influence of the British and emphasised the need of freeing the society from any mindset of slavery.
