Amaravathi, June 20 -- A placard bearing the provocative slogan "Rapa Rapa Narukutham" (we'll chop heads one by one) caused a stir during YSR Congress Party President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's tour of Palnadu on Thursday. The slogan, reportedly held by a supporter of the YSRCP, compared a possible YSRCP return to power in 2029 to a traditional ritual during the Gangamma Jatara, where symbolic beheadings take place.
The incident gained traction and drew criticism, prompting the police to register a case against the individual and initiate an investigation.
