New Delhi, July 31 -- Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Thursday slammed the government over its statement in Parliament on 25 per tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods, saying Commerce Minister "made a non-statement" and engaged in "totally misplaced self-congratulation".

He said real issues thrown up by the failure to clinch a trade deal with the US were hardly touched upon.
