Arrah, Aug. 30 -- Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Saturday claimed that the man accused of abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar's Darbhanga was linked to the BJP.

"The person who made derogatory remarks about PM Modi's mother turned out to be from the BJP," Singh, a former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, told ANI.

The senior Congress leader was in Bihar's Arrah to participate in the ongoing 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'.

Singh also took a swipe at the Prime Minister's call for India and China to work together, saying, "First, unite Hindus and Muslims in the country."
