New Delhi, Dec. 6 -- A special discussion on "Vande Mataram" will take place in Parliament starting December 8 (Monday), to mark the 150th anniversary of the song, and will include eight leaders from Congress who will speak in the Lok Sabha.

These leaders are Gaurav Gogoi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Deepender Hooda, Bimol Akoijam, Praniti Shinde, Prashant Padole, Chamala Reddy, and Jyotsna Mahant.

The Winter session of Parliament commenced on December 1 and will continue till December 19.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will initiate the debate at 12 PM, marking the formal beginning of the proceedings. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to speak at the conclusion of the discussion.
