New Delhi, Oct. 27 -- Archana Majumdar, member of the National Commission for Women (NCW), stated on Monday that the commission is ensuring prompt medical care, counselling, and rehabilitation for the 20-year-old Delhi University student who was attacked by a stalker with acid.

Speaking to ANI, Majumdar called for strict legal action and reaffirmed its commitment to women's safety, security, and dignity.

"The NCW is committed to women's security, safety, and dignity... We are ensuring prompt medical treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation for the victim... We demand strict legal action. The incident is currently under investigation, and while the victim's injuries are not deemed serious, the NCW will continue to address such concerns...
