New Delhi, March 18 -- Condemning the violence which took place in Nagpur on Monday night after a group demanded the removal of Aurangzeb's grave, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske said on Tuesday that he suspects that Opposition was involved in a "conspiracy" regarding the violence.

Speaking outside Parliament, Mhaske alleged that the violence was a "preplanned riot." The violence took place in Hansapuri on the night of March 17.

"The Opposition leaders in Maharashtra had been saying for the last 3-4 days that there would be riots. How did they predict the future and know about it? This should also be looked into... This looks like a conspiracy of the Opposition," Mhaske told ANI.
