New Delhi, March 19 -- Amid tensions over the violence in Nagpur that broke out over the demands to remove Mughal Emporer Aurangzeb's tomb, Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad on Wednesday said that the Mahayuti government must limit leaders from making provocative statements while appealing for peace.

"I request the people of Maharashtra to maintain peace. The state government should now try to make the situation normal. There is Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, which is a symbol of peace. It is important to talk about peace. The government should stop the provocative statements coming from leaders."
