Bhopal, April 21 -- Over a dozen people lost their lives and several others were injured in three separate road accidents, two of which occurred in Madhya Pradesh and one in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the incidents and announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured, from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The two accidents that occurred within the state include a Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV) fell into a ditch after colliding with a culvert in Raisen district on Monday morning and an overspeeding SUV hit two bikers in Tikamgarh district on Sunday night.
