Ujjain, Oct. 3 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met bereaved families who lost their loved ones during the Durga idol immersion ceremony in Ujjain on Thursday and consoled them.

CM Yadav on Friday also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 1 lakh to the seriously injured.

"Today, I have come to Pirjhalar village, Badnagar Tehsil in Ujjain district and I met the bereaved families who lost their loved ones during Durga mata idol immersion after a tractor plunges into the river.
