Mohali, Sept. 1 -- Mohali Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, accompanied by senior officials, visited the Sukhna Choe's Baltana Bridge site this morning to assess the arrangements being made in view of the increased water flow amid heavy rains in Mohali, Punjab.
The Mohali DC reviewed the situation following the release of additional water from Sukhna Headworks into Sukhna Choe and assured residents that the situation is under control, with no cause for panic. Sukhna Headworks is the structure that created Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream from the Shivalik Hills.
