New Delhi, March 4 -- In a significant move to advance gender-sensitive governance at the grassroots level, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj will launch its transformative initiative to develop model women-friendly Gram Panchayats (MWFGP) at a National Convention on March 5 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj said in a release on Tuesday.

The event is part of the Ministry's International Women's Day 2025 celebrations and is poised to have a lasting impact on rural governance, ensuring safety, inclusivity, and gender equality for women and girls in Gram Panchayats across the country.
