Chandigarh, Feb. 14 -- In a major breakthrough, the Chandigarh Police have arrested a 26-year-old auto-rickshaw driver in connection with a murder case registered at Police Station Industrial Area.

The arrest was made under the direction of Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP UT Chandigarh, and under the close supervision of Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/East.

The operation was conducted by a team from the Police Station Industrial Area, led by Inspector Satnam Singh, SHO, and other police officials.

According to police, the case pertains to FIR, dated January 29, 2026, registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
