Kolkata, Feb. 1 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has written to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar raising serious objections to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state, alleging that the exercise has inflicted widespread public suffering and dangerously eroded trust in democratic processes.
