New Delhi, April 13 -- BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of being responsible for violence against Hindus in the State, likening her to a "modern-day Suhrawardy."

"Whatever is happening against Hindus in Bengal, Mamata Banerjee is responsible, and she is now acting as 'modern-day Suhrawardy'," he said.

Bhandari further claimed that Banerjee is "encouraging, supporting, and inciting anti-Hindu violence" for political appeasement.
