New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Tokyo 2020 Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zareen will headline India's 20-member contingent for the World Boxing Championships 2025, scheduled to begin in Liverpool from Thursday, as per Olympics.com.
This will be the inaugural edition of the tournament organised by World Boxing, the newly formed global governing body for the sport. All matches will be held at the M&S Bank Arena and the event will run till September 14.
The competition comprises with over 550 boxers from more than 65 countries, including 17 Paris 2024 Olympics medallists, set to participate. Medals will be up for grabs across 20 weight categories, 10 for men and 10 for women.
