London, July 22 -- John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne, the lead singer of British heavy metal band Black Sabbath, has died at 76.
He breathed his last on Tuesday after a yearslong struggle with Parkinson's disease, as per Variety.
The news of Ozzy's demise was confirmed by his family via a statement, TMZ reported.
The statement read, "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
