Thiruvanthapuram, April 4 -- Kerala Police deployed water cannons on Friday to disperse Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) protesters, who were staging a demonstration demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) case.

Earlier today, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan faced criticism after the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) received prosecution sanction against his daughter, Veena Vijaya, in connection with the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL)-Exalogic case.
