Karur, Sept. 30 -- The Karur City Police on Tuesday is taking Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's (TVK) Karur West District Secretary, Mathiyazhagan, and Karur town functionary, Paun Raj, to court following their medical examination.

Mathiyazhagan and Paun Raj arranged flagpoles and flex banners for TVK chief Vijay's campaign on September 27, where the stampede happened.

Earlier in the day, Karur City Police arrested Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's (TVK) Karur West District Secretary, Mathiyazhagan, in connection with the stampede during the party chief Vijay's rally, which claimed 41 lives, ADGP Davidson Devasirvatham told ANI.
