New Delhi, March 18 -- Former India captain Kapil Dev has weighed in on the ongoing debate about family involvement during cricket tours, stating that a balance between team commitments and personal life is essential. Responding to Virat Kohli's recent comments that no player would want to "sit alone and sulk", Kapil Dev emphasized the importance of family support while also maintaining team unity.
"That is the cricket board's call, but my opinion is that you need your family, and you also need the team with you all the time," he told the reporters.
Reflecting on his own playing days, the 1983 World Cup-winning captain revealed how players managed the balance back then.
