New Delhi, Dec. 20 -- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Maji, on Friday, expressed her criticism of the passage of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgaar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, 2025 (VB-G RAM-G Bill), which replaces the 2-decade-old Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.

Speaking to ANI, Maji said that the bill has increased the pressure on the states to provide for the workers financially, reducing the responsibility on the centre.

"...how will a state, which is already in debt, pay the workers? This is a deliberate and unfair practice that is not suitable for rural labourers. This will fuel unemployment in the country," Mahua Maji said.
