Srinagar, Oct. 27 -- Mehbooba Mufti, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP), on Monday urged the government to take immediate steps to regularise wage workers in the union territory, emphasising that these workers deserve dignity and job security.

In a post on X, Mufti highlighted the challenges faced by nearly one lakh daily wage workers in Jammu and Kashmir, many of whom belong to the most marginalised sections of society. She called upon all Members of the Legislative Assembly, along with the ruling party, to come together and address the issue promptly.
