New Delhi, July 11 -- England batter Jason Roy has been announced as replacement for Faf du Plessis in the Hundred at Southern Brave, du Plessis has pulled out of his contract as he is due to undergo an operation on his groin, which he injured during the IPL, according to ESPNcricinfo.

Roy was a Hundred winner with Oval Invincibles in 2023 but has struggled for runs in the tournament, averaging 19.55 and striking at 132.09 across three seasons.
