New Delhi, Feb. 9 -- Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Sunday said that Congress was set to move the no-confidence motion and "sensing the climate" Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh resigned.

Jairam Ramesh termed Singh's resignation as "belated" and said the state was awaiting a visit by "frequent flier Prime Minister."

"The Congress was all set to move a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers in the Manipur Assembly tomorrow.
