Srinagar, Jan. 27 -- Rooftops of 120 shikaras on Dal Lake were decorated in the colours of the Indian flag by the Srinagar District Administration to commemorate the 75th Republic Day on Friday.

It provided a stunning visual treat for the people.

The boats displayed the saffron, white, and green colours of the national flag with an Ashoka Chakra in the middle.

The district administration released a drone video of the spectacle.

Shikaras, which are made of wood, are used for transportation and other purposes on Dal Lake and other water bodies in Srinagar.
