New Delhi, May 2 -- The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is chasing the shadow of the previous edition, with six appeal taking a dip and spinners dictating the terms of play.

IPL 2024 set a new benchmark in T20s in terms of aggressive batting and high-scoring affairs. At the beginning of IPL 2025, setting new standards in the tournament was on the cards.
