Ahmedabad, May 25 -- A brilliant performance by young batters Dewald Brevis and Urvil Patel followed by a sensational spin assault helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) end their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign with an 83-run win over Gujarat Titans (GT) at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
CSK finished in the bottom spot with four wins and 10 losses, giving them eight points. GT are still at the top with nine wins and five losses, giving them 18 points.
In the run chase of 231 runs, the opening pair of skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan started with some flashy hits. However, a fine catch by Urvil Patel at slip removed Gill for 13 in nine. GT was 24/1 in 2.3 overs.
